One of Port Clinton's oldest establishments, Traveler's Bar
and Grill operated as a Speak Easy during the rum running days
of prohibition with it's manager spending time in jail for her
role in illegal activities. December of 1933 however marked
the repeal of prohibition, and Traveler's opened legally.
This charming restaurant located in the historic Downtown River District
area is next to the "Whistling" Bridge and the Jet
Express, the North coast's fastest boat ride to Put-in-Bay.
Serving lunch from 11:00-3:00 with a delicious dinner menu
available until 10:00, Traveler's is known for its fresh Lake
Erie perch and walleye. Enjoy an honest glass of wine while
trying out some of the other specialties...slow roasted Prime
Rib, BBQed ribs or tender steaks. In a hurry to catch the boat?
How about an ice cold beer and a Walleye Dog™
Bun. With a visit to Traveler's Bar and Grill you will be delighted
with the 1930's motif, friendly staff and speak easy atmosphere.
